Grilled Tuna Steaks with Creamy Red Chili Sauce 

Serves 4

 

4 (6-ounce) tuna steaks

Olive oil (for brushing)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

 

Creamy Red Chili Sauce:

1 cup mayonnaise

2 teaspooons pure red chili pepper powder

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tablespoon lime juice

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro

Salt and pepper (to taste)   

 

  1. Preheat grill.
  2. To prepare sauce, whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Lightly brush tuna steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Arrange steaks on hot, oiled grill grate. Cook for approximately 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Serve with sauce on the side.
